Open-to-public group classes, our 8-hour pistol & rifle clinic, and private half-day / full-day tactical sessions. Range fees and targets are included in every class, and you'll leave with the certificate needed to apply for your Florida concealed carry permit.

№ 01 · Open to Public · Group

OPEN TO PUBLIC — GROUP CLASSES

Our open group classes are the front door to everything we teach — defensive pistol, concealed-carry tactics, defensive rifle, and shotgun. All sessions are 4 hours long and run at the outdoor range at Homestead Training Center.

Each class is structured around the same defensive doctrine: shooting on the move, weak-hand drills, multiple targets, reloads, malfunction clearing, and engagement from behind cover. The differences are the platform and where the gun is carried:

Defensive Pistol — outside-the-waistband carry.
Concealed Carry Tactics — inside-the-waistband carry, from concealment.
Tactical Rifle — 4 hours on the rifle platform.
Shotgun — the forgotten art of the shotgun as a defensive tool.

At the end of every class you receive the certificate required by the State of Florida to apply for your concealed carry permit — no separate CCW class needed. Range fees and targets are included. Ammunition is not included; pistol, rifle, and shotgun rentals are available (ammo not included with rentals).

Tactical Rifle I

Rifle I is rifle only — no pistol needed.

Rifle (AR, AK, or PCC variant)
Rental rifle available for $125 — rifle with sling, 3 mags, mag carrier. Rental rifles require 5.56 or .223 ammo (ammo not included)

Red dot sight (highly recommended, already zeroed) — irons fine if that's what you run
Sling — already adjusted to rifle and yourself

Shotgun

No shotgun rentals available. You must bring your own shotgun. Reach out by phone if you need help sourcing one.

Booking & rescheduling policy

No one is allowed in the classroom or on the range unless they are taking the class. Course purchases are transferable but nonrefundable. We follow a strict 14-day rescheduling policy:

14+ days before class — full credit applied to a future class
7–13 days before — $100 rescheduling fee
6 days or less, or no-show without notice — no credit issued
Rain check issued only if HTC closes the range due to lightning

№ 02 · Clinic · Prereq to Level 2

8-HOUR PISTOL & RIFLE CLINIC

An eight-hour day on the range covering both pistol and rifle. Once you complete the clinic, you qualify to move on to Level 2 of any of our classes. Built for shooters who want to compress their progression — fundamentals through tactical drills in a single, intensive session.

Range fees are included. Ammunition is not included with any class price — for the clinic specifically, you should plan on 350 pistol rounds and 400 rifle rounds. Pistol and rifle rentals are available (ammo not included with rentals).

№ 03 · Defensive Tactics · Private

DEFENSIVE TACTICS · PRIVATE — HALF DAY

Same curriculum as our Level 1 open classes, run as a private session for your group. Performed at a local outdoor range.

Pricing is $1,000 for a group of up to 4 people, plus $250 per additional student up to a maximum of 10 total. Range fees and targets are included. Ammunition is not included — pistol, rifle, and shotgun rentals are available (ammo not included with rentals).

DEFENSIVE TACTICS · PRIVATE — FULL DAY

The full-day version of our private defensive-tactics class. Eight hours on the line at a local outdoor range — the most complete single-day private program we offer.

Pricing is $1,600 for a group of up to 4 people, plus $400 per additional student up to a maximum of 10 total. Range fees and targets are included. Ammunition is not included — pistol, rifle, and shotgun rentals are available (ammo not included with rentals).
